A man was shot in a possible road-rage incident on Flagler Street near 79th Avenue during Tuesday's evening rush hour. In the backseat: a baby.
The westbound lanes of Flagler are closed as Miami-Dade police investigate the shooting.
The man's car, a Nissan, crashed into a sign and bushes at the entrance of a McDonalds restaurant. All four doors of the car remained open as detectives worked in the middle of the road, placing small orange cones as markers.
The shooter in the other vehicle took off, police said. There is no description of the vehicle or the shooter.
The injured man was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center where he is listed in stable condition. The baby was uninjured, according to the man's sister.
The shooting took place at 5 p.m.
