    Kids, with guns, broad daylight.
    Alarm not on.
Homeowners apparently unable/unwilling to defend themselves?

I clicked on the link you provided above and it sent me to the main page of the newspaper.
The only videos I saw were about the wildfires and Gov. Crist.

Based on the news story they were caught by he video surveillance activated by motion. Good. I have a similar system which also alerts me when anyone approaches the house. This should give me enough time to grab my G19 if I'm home.

A good reason to always carry. This as the homeowner said could have happened while she was home and the consequences could have been bad.

Good lesson to be learned here...if you have an alarm system, ACTIVATE IT when you leave home, isn't that what you bought if for...or did you just have extra money laying around and nothing to do with it?

...even in Hollywood BG's come to visit...two young thugs like that would probably shoot first, and think later.

A gun in the bedroom when you are in the kitchen is like leaving the gun in the safe while you are out shopping.

    1) Close your windows
    2) Turn your alarm on

The alarm might scare them away. At the very least, it will alert you that someone could be in your house when you get home.
That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?
