South African Missionary Defends Himself with HK Pistol

Here is the link to a great story of Charl van Wyk, a South African missionary who defended himself and co-workers against an assault by three armed thieves. He is the author of the book "Shooting Back" where he described his encounter in 1993 against armed terrorist that attacked his church.

Christian hero shoots back – again!

This guy sure kept his wits about him - I hope I would respond as well.
No arsenal, or no weapon in the arsenals of the world, is so formidable as the will and moral courage of free men and women.

Just spoke with a girl from South Africa. She says her family lives under lock and key there--very dangerous right now.

Thats how we roll here in SA. Lock & key on everything, but if the laws were a bit more accommodating to us armed citizens, we'll feel a lot better. If you use your gun in a self defense situation, you could be in big trouble, but some cops are cool 'cos they know bad it is & will let some things slide now & again. When we had our shoot out the cops asked if we killed him 'cos if he's dead less paper work & less charges against us, within reason though. But it ain't all bad I luv my country & can't see myself living anywhere else. Stay armed & be prepared at all times I guess.
