GOOD-Man kills robber in Woodland Hills CA home

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (KABC) -- A Woodland Hills home invasion turned deadly Friday afternoon.
Three suspects forcefully entered a residence on the 24000 block of Burbank Blvd. in Woodland Hills at approximately 2:45 p.m. Friday, according to LAPD Officer Jason Lee. A man inside the home reportedly shot one of the three suspects. The suspect died at the scene.
The home was occupied by four residents when the suspects entered the house, according to police. There was a couple in their 60s, and two young men in their 20s inside. One of the young men, a son of the homeowner, reportedly fired multiple shots and killed one of the suspects.
The slain suspect had a revolver in his hand, according to police.
Another of the suspects was detained at the scene.
A third suspect escaped and remained at large Friday afternoon. The third suspect may have fled in a vehicle, though there was conflicting information from witness accounts.
Police set up a large perimeter around the area while they searched for the third suspect.
The residents were not harmed

NO ONE in Los Angeles country needs to carry a handgun. At least according to Sheriff Baca that is.

Kudo's to the son. Too bad he (apparently) missed the other guy who ran away. Now all we need is an "outlaw" statute (if someone is in the course of committing a serious or dangerous felony as defined in section 667.5 or section 1192.7 of the penal code; neither they, nor their relations/heirs/estate, have recourse against ANYONE for ANY reason for any injury or the death of the person committing the felony offense).
