police spokeswoman says Phoenix officers have fatally shot a knife-wielding man.

Detective Stacie Derge says officers were called to a reported fight at a party early Saturday and began chasing a man who ran away while carrying a butcher knife.

She says the 25-year-old suspect stopped and turned toward two pursuing officers while still holding the knife and the officers opened fire.

The man was hit at least once in the chest and died at the scene just south of Buckeye Road on 3rd Avenue. His name hasn't been released.

This character should receive the dumbest crook award of the year, but I am sure there will be others challenging for it.

    Posthumously.
An armed populace are called citizens.
An unarmed populace are called subjects.

Yep, It's already been done, complete with a threat from one of his "homies" stating that cops are gonna fall like he did. Captured on FOX news with his license plate number as he drove away. Smart group of people there.
