BAD 7-11 clerk gunned down BG has 2 young kids with him - Phoenix, AZ
PHOENIX — A 7-Eleven clerk was gunned down in his west Phoenix store by a gunman, who police say, was accompanied by two young children.
Police said robbery does not appear to be the motive.
The killing was captured on videotape by the store's surveillance cameras.
Police Detective Stacie Derge said it appears that the suspect walked into the store at 27th and Glendale avenues early Monday carrying a 2-year-old child and also accompanied by a 4-year-old child, then "shot the clerk and then left."
Derge says the suspect and victim had a conversation, "but no kind of fight or anything like that."

Just as casual as if he were getting a drink from the cooler. This guy is "hardened" and needs to meet his Maker.

Either the guy's insane, or there was some history between the two. In case the story doesn't say, I believe they have already caught the idiot.

This is an odd situation...how would you shoot to defend yourself if it meant hitting a young child if the coward uses the child as a shield?
All around nasty situation.

I'm just glad I don't work in a job where that scenario is a likely possibility.
But, I gotta say... I don't believe I am required to forfeit my life because some POS Robber is using a shield either.

That'd be the most productive that (punk/thug/O2 waster) could be.

We need to start softening these "hardened" criminals up. A dozen rounds of 5.56mm NATO each should do the job nicely.

I would have to be like Kurt Russell in "SOLDIER" and just take out whoever had to be taken out to get the bad guy. Dang, I am a lot more heartless than even I thought I was!!!!

I see it all the time where drug sellers (or buyers) take kids "to work". To them, its just like helping daddy mow the lawn or fix the car. They typically run small errands as well. Just as I remember reaching tools to my dad fixing a car. Sadly, to these kids, shooting someone will be as "normal" as it is to you working on your car.

Do it anyway, doing what one can to avoid striking the shield. It's life or death. Hesitation at that moment may well yield a predictable result.

That punk needs to be put down. WTH kind of person commits murder while holding a kid?? Unbelieveable! Absolute disregard for life.
I have to agree with retsupt99, how do you shoot back? While in principal, I would not want to just take a bullet because this guy is holding a kid, but at the same time, that kid IS totally innocent. At 2 years old, he has no idea what is going on. And is now probably scarred for life.

No "Hees a good parent" defense for him.
Sick person. I'd like to know why he did this. It's bad for the R2KBA in general.
