The Beaufort County Sheriff's Office is looking for two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting Wednesday night on Centerview Drive in Polk Village
At about 9:45 p.m. deputies responded to 1808B Centerview Drive in reference to a report of a gunshot victim.
When they arrived deputies met with 18-year old Kevin Robert Shipper who was suffering from a laceration to his head. Shipper led deputies into the home where they found an unresponsive 21-year-old Joshua Ryan Tiger, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Shipper said that moments before, he and Tiger had been in the living room when they heard a knock at the door. Shipper answered the door and was confronted by two unknown black men. Shipper said the men forced their way into the home, one of them striking him in the head with a handgun.
Shipper said that a struggle then ensued between Tiger and the second man, at which time a shot was fired, and Shipper saw Tiger fall to the floor. Both men then fled the scene, possibly in a gold in color Lincoln Town Car. Tiger was taken to Beaufort Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced dead as a result of a gunshot wound.
One suspect was described as approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 170 pounds wearing all black clothing, a black hat, and had thin, "chin-strap" style facial hair. The second suspect was described as approximately 6 feet, 1 inch tall and 220 pounds wearing all black, a black hat, with a round face and no facial hair.
