The same way Home or Farm became a "compound"
When folks hear about someone busting into a baracaded compound they percieve this to be a good thing. Only a bad person would live in a compound and baracade their entry ways.

Tell those same folks that someone busted down the locked door on a persons house and the general public might be inclined to ask questions about it.
We wouldnt want that now would we.

We've had all kinds of problems with that sort of thing locally. The last incident that stands out in my mind was when a Minneapolis PD swat team executed a no-knock warrant on the wrong house, and ended up taking fire from the non-english speaking homeowner through the bedroom door (several cops were hit, but nobody was injured- body armor). Several members of the swat team were subsequently honored for their valor and received medals.

I am guessing the EMT was OK since it was only a graze... Thank God

I wonder why the person who called didnt come with the EMT.

My Brother has a key to my house just incase of such issue,
