    Mikl,

I meant, how could these women's faith enrage this other guy so much to take such drastic action.

...some people just can't stand seeing the truth...or maybe in this case feeling it...

He was lucky they did not shot him with the shotgun. Most people would have just shot him.

I'm catching an Air Force hop to Colorado Springs in the morning. I checked with the people that maintain the flight manifest on how to best bring my Sig with me. They said as long as I declair it and have it empty and in a locked case it's ok. I grew up in Colorado Springs but I've heard that lots of people from the land of fruits and nuts have moved there. I don't want to be there unarmed.

I live in Colorado Springs and this is the first I've heard of this incident. We do have our fair share of wierdos.

I've met obnoxious Christians before, and have certainly been 'unsmooth' in my own enthusiasm on occasion as well. But odds are, it wasn't "their" faith that enraged him at all: he was likely enraged over someone else's rotten behavior that was LABELED as Christian (lots of that around, sadly), and all these women did was remind him of it. Think "abuse of power under the color of authority" as a father abuses his family while quoting Scripture: I know that these low-lifes will get theirs - God is not mocked - but I would ask God's judgement to fall quickly on such.

Or he just snapped or was drugged out and picked a handy label for his hatred.

Or God really is whacking him upside the head to get his attention, and he's intent on ignoring it... to the point of violence.

My guess is that these gals were living an upright, moral life and trying honestly to give honor to God, and the biggest sin they were guilty of (joke) is doing so in a manner which was visible to the nut job. I can imagine him taking their good behavior as a personal affront.

Christians are likely to occasionally take it on the chin based on who we follow rather than anything we particularly did: John 15:18-21 and I Pet 4:14 come to mind. And that's OK: the big trick is to avoid giving folks any stupid reason to hate us!

Hummm... I think the resident used the wrong end of the shotgun but at least the BG was stopped. I only hope he "sees" (with the remaining eye) the error of his ways!
