    "The entrance to the school has been shut down as police investigate the shooting."

    MELBOURNE -- A man is dead after being shot in the parking lot of Stone Middle School Monday night.

    The entrance to the school has been shut down as police investigate the shooting.

    Police were called to the school, on East University Boulevard, Monday night on reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found a man shot.

    The victim was taken to Holmes Regional Hospital, but did not survive his injuries.
    This shows the lousy state of reporting today.
    EVERYONE knows that schools are gun-free zones. So, this must be a lie, or a mistake, or....

    This sounds more like a bad neighborhood shooting while walking on the school property, rather than anything tied to the school...right?
