    CHICAGO — Prosecutors say a Chicago teenager charged with murdering an eighth-grader warned the boy a few days before the shooting that he was on a "death list."

    Friends and family say Sameere Conn stopped in a store on Oct. 1 after playing football, and was shot by a gunman who fired through a window.

    Prosecutors said Sebastian Rodriguez fired the shots that also wounded a 27-year-old man.

    NEW YORK — Prosecutors say a homeless man told them he killed a New York City college student because he was bored and had nowhere to go.

    Prosecutors filed a signed statement in court in which Jeromie Cancel admits killing 19-year-old Kevin Pravia in the victim's Manhattan apartment last month.

    These have to be fake stories! We all know Chicago and NYC are safe, crime free zones.

    I wonder if we do ourselves any favors by making fun of the gun-banners. I mean, some of the people today are so stupid that statements like "Chicago has a gun-ban, no eighth-grader can get a gun" might have them wondering how the hell he DID get a gun -- and then trying even harder to pass more ridiculous laws. Remember they are locked into their worldview (which is: the police should be called if someone is committing a crime). They just don't think in terms of personal responsibility, or self-defense. The whole idea is foreign to them. Maybe we can change that, but it will not be easy.
    Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.
