Good job on the part of the airman...unfortunately he shot a little low.
Walking in on a theft...something I think about every time I come home. If someone is in my home...it won't be a leg shot.:nono:

What a stupid criminal! 'Got better than he deserved with prompt and competent treatment from the neighbor.
This BG is lucky that the homeowner was an airman and not a Marine or Army infantry, they shoot straighter!

A buddy of mine got the Airman's Medal (highest medal for peacetime heroic actions) when he was stationed in CA. He saved the next door neighbor's life as she was getting beaten to death. He came out with his Glock & ended up getting in a shootout with the guy. The lady lived. My friend never talked about it, but I read it in Airman magazine. He just kinda smirked & said it was him when I asked. He did not go into details, just gave a generic version of the story. He didn't think of himself as a hero, just a guy doing the right thing.
Sorry for the hijack. This just reminded me of a good story.
