(insert sarcasm here) I love that part of town. My office isn't far from there.

Let's see - carjacking is illegal, murder is illegal, hum - maybe they should try a gun ban - that would have prevented this from happening. They just didn't have enough or the right kind of laws on the books. Never go unarmed to Wal-Mart.

I should probably take back some of my sarcasm considering a man lost his life but this crap just pisses me off.

The area around that walmart is not the best part of the city...too many gangs and punks just looking for trouble.
I never go over there without some protection on me.

Face it, Wally World is not your up-scale establishment. It usually isn't in the best part of town or attracts the best clientèle. I never go anywhere unarmed, especially places like that.

WalMart is my 'several extra mags' trek.
I cruise the lot prior to parking...on the rare occasion I do go the WW.
My head is on a swivel and I suspect anyone and everyone...I trust no one.

Stay armed...a must at WW...stay safe!

Very easy pick'ens. Wolves don't like the dogs sniffing around and most of the sheep that frequent Wally-World's 'pasture' are completly 'victim-ready'.

"We want people to feel safe and they should be able to go out into their neighborhoods into the evening. And I would like them to know that they can, because we are there," Hahn said. "I believe we have shown we're out there and we're doing our job. We responded quickly. We were able to find the vehicle, the victim right away."

Wal-Mart shoppers are a little on edge.
Yes, they're on edge, though I'm certain it's merely because they feel fear. Fear due to the lion being in the back yard.

The police are doing their jobs. But citizens are failing to do theirs. There's the rub. Citizens have largely abdicated their responsibility for safety and security to "others."

The real reason that people should be on edge is something completely different, something they cannot yet fathom: because, in spite of what the police can do for them, police cannot prevent such things from happening.

When will people learn? When, indeed.

    Well said!

You'd think the church shootings in Colorado some months back that received lots of press coverage would have been enough of a kick-in-the-pants to motivate more folks into carrying around here... there's just not enough of us out there yet.

Gee, I'm impressed. Bet that dead victim put up a heck of a hide-and-seek job on the cops.
