This is my neck of the woods... there is a story behind this that isn't fit for DC.com. Reading between the lines, a smart, observant reader can figure it out.

I carry anywhere legal to carry. I've carried to one sons wedding and another sons funeral. Criminals don't care where they find a victim to strike. You need to be prepared to defend against it.

    I don't carry in a safe place.

But there are no safe places ...

"Frederick L. Davis, of Covington, quickly surrendered to police and was charged with murder, first degree assault, criminal mischief and violating an emergency protection order."

Yet another example of how useless those protection orders are.

Well, it sure seems to have something to do with Mrs. Fairbanks (wife of the murdered pastor).

I agree, the wife was definately a major factor here, but who knows what would possess someone to act this way.

Sounds like some hanky-panky was going on. Too bad it turned deadly.

Those are the kind of comments that start ugly rumours. If you've got something difinite to add that's legit but to drop something like that with nothing to back it up is more than just bad manners.

The only good they do is showing a previous threat, at least then when the BG shows up looking for trouble and leaves in a bag you can point that out to the police.

I went to a funeral for a coworkers family member, it was in a really bad neighborhood. I went protected. The next morning there was a report of a shooting the previous night a block from where we were. Crazy.

That must suck to experience - No father should ever have to bury his son!
