BROKEN ARROW, OK -- A Broken Arrow homeowner shot a man trying to break into his house. It happened just before 10 p.m. Saturday night in the 3100 block of West Norman Circle.
The homeowner told police that the he heard someone breaking a window in the back door of his home.
Police say that's when he grabbed a gun and confronted the burglar in his hallway, shooting him several times.
Police have identified the burglar as 19-year-old Stephen Richardson.
Richardson was flown by medical helicopter to an area hospital where he is in stable condition.
Police are still investigating the incident.

Well, for those of us not there, let's see:
1. We don't know what type of gun he had.
2. We don't know how good of a shot he was.
3. Even if he was a crack shot, adrenalin plays a (big) role.
I for one couldn't MMQB something like this.
Anti-gunners seem to believe that if we just pass enough laws, we can have utopia. Unfortunately, utopia is NOT one of our choices.

Don't shoot until you think he's dead, keep shooting until the BG thinks he's dead. If he moves, shoot again! He could be reaching for a weapon.
