Police Nab Suspect in Anchorwoman Murder
This was some really good police work.
Police nab suspect in anchor's death, seek answers - Yahoo! News
Officers arrested Curtis Lavelle Vance, 28, at a home in Little Rock on Wednesday night — tipped to his location after police held a late-evening news conference to reveal him as their suspect. "We went there and he's in custody," said Lt. Terry Hastings, a police spokesman.
Vance was charged with capital murder in the death of Anne Pressly. The 26-year-old anchorwoman, who had a small part in the President George W. Bush biopic "W," died Oct. 25 — five days after being severely beaten in what police described as a random attack at her home.

With DNA evidence, the trial should only take a few minutes...the execution...even less time.

OMO, of course.

Fry Baby, Fry! I can't say anything else about this brutality. I would be banned from the whole world wide internet forever.

There are more and more women in CHL classes than ever before,I think they are finally becoming more aware how vulnerable they are against somebody without a weapon

There is a belief that the stuff is infallible. It is darn good, but not infallible. Nothing humans do is infallible. If nothing else, the humans who do the testing can misrepresent the results or merely misinterpret the results, or make errors in carrying out the exam. The more complex a test, the more chances there are for error. And there have been several recent stories of crime lab misconduct.
DNA evidence is important. It should be given considerable weight, but like all forensic evidence, it needs to be looked at in the context of all the other evidence.
As DNA detection methods become more and more sensitive, there is also more and more room for error.
We did plenty of DNA fingerprinting, PCR, and other DNA technology where I used to work--but for non- forensic research purposes. Prosecutors, police, defense attorneys, and judges need to pay more attention to its foibles and limitations.
If nothing else, a test that concludes the DNA came from an individual with a probability that it might have come from someone else of only 1 in a billion, still leaves 9 other suspects in our world of 9 billion souls.

Unfortunately, even after being convicted, this POS will continue to waste oxygen and public resources for way to long.
Good work on the part of LE and glad he is off the streets.
The situation will NEVER BE THE WAY YOU WANT, it WILL BE THE WAY IT IS. You must be FLEXIBLE ENOUGH TO ADAPT and just "DEAL WITH IT".

Having used euthanasia solution on hundreds of sheep during one period of my career, I often marvel at the complexity and controversy involved in execution of convicts. I'm sure most of the time the sheep I euthanized hit the floor dead within a second or two. Why our jail-operated euthanasia systems take 15-20 minutes with lots of different solutions and complex iv lines is beyond my understanding.
That said, I favor hanging for the truly deserving.
