Seriously, I almost got kicked out of my building I laughed so hard.
Why aren't the emoticons showing up? am I the only one?

These teens will probably get a slap on the hand. That's how the upper crust teens are delt with down here. I would have used a paintball marker to eradicate the teens, but that fox pee idea is strong as new rope.

Exactly. Wonder if he had any capability of recording it on film somehow. Then he could have just replayed it to the DA and identified the little culpits that way. That could have kept him out of trouble - no assault in filming someone.

While I agree that he should NOT be prosecuted and that the kids should, there are a couple of statements in the report that may indicate why he is being charged:
According to a complaint, Wagar reported to the county sheriff on Sept. 17 he had been in an altercation with another person near his property east of Willmar, and that he possibly had broken the person’s finger.

He allegedly said he was fed up with his house being toilet-papered and had taken matters into his own hands. He was out along his property line the night before, between 10:30 and 11 p.m., and observed 15 to 20 people running toward his place through a soybean field.
It sounds like the teens may not yet have been on his property when he opened fire. Having been the victim of teenage pranks before (once got a Z-28 Camaro "egged" while the T-Top panels were out -- nasty), I can definitely understand his frustration.

I like the paintball idea...raise a few welts on their young hides. He should have used that kids cell phone to call some pOrn lines and run up a few hundred bucks then chunked it in a dumpster. Let him explain that one to the old man.

Sounds like they charged the wrong guy.

When I was in HS, we went out into the country (@ night) to steal the JR High principal's outhouse for our bonfire. We got into his yard and started to tip it over into the bed of our pick-up and that's when he opened up w/a 12 ga. We got out of there fast and w/out the outhouse.

We collected of 8 outhouses for our bonfire but 3 of the owners showed up and wanted them back. Even w/ only 5 outhouses, we still had a roaring bonfire!

Outhouses? How old are you? If they had trucks, for highschoolers to drive, but still using outhouses... I'm not getting something.

I'm 23, and my senior class did it.

We're talkin rural Colorado now; back in 1963. There were lots of rural homes using outhouses.

We usually got them from abandoned farms but the Jr High principal was a real "bleep" so we wanted to sorta pay him back.

The next year, the Jr High principal, expecting another attempt on his privy, moved it about 3', uncovering the pit. Racing across the barnyard in pitch dark, two of the crew fell into the pit of, er poo.

The principal was waiting for them and helped 'fish' them out and hosed them off.

Those guys and the principal are still kind of legendary around here.

Seems like he could have "sniffed" out the culprits.

Around here, they used shotguns with bird shot to scare us when we were kids. Either that, or rock salt loaded in a shotgun shell.

If people actually do that I hope they swab out the barrel afterwards, it'd sure corrode things up good.

Just curious, because I'm a city boy, but how does one go about collecting fox urine?

Do you trail them with a paper cup?

Maybe you should have waited until he was out of the outhouse. I know I'd be mad as **** if someone tipped it with me still inside!

Paintball seems like a good idea at first, til you wonder what will happen when you start to spray the crowd with paintballs, and hit one of the little darlings in the eye????
