Bad: Gunman opens fire in crowded Ohio club, killing 1

Gunman opens fire in crowded Ohio club, killing 1 - USATODAY.com

TROTWOOD, Ohio (AP) One of six people injured by a gunman in an Ohio nightclub has died.

The Montgomery County coroner's office identified the dead man as 21-year-old David Watson of Dayton, Ohio. Three of the other victims were released from hospitals after 10 to 15 rounds were fired at Higgins Station near Dayton early Friday.

Police say the shooter fled. No arrests have been made.

The violence erupted during fights at the club in the suburb of Trotwood.
A more detailed report is at Man dies after six shot at Trotwood bar which leads me to a few random questions/thoughts from the longer article

"The gunman fired 10 to 15 rounds."
"Beck said investigators recovered at least eight .380-caliber shell casings from the scene, likely fired from a semi-automatic pistol."

Wow, is there a .380 around that wouldn't have required a reload for this number of shots? Maybe a Bersa?

And yes, .380 rounds most likely came from a semi-automatic.

It can happen anywhere and at any time, best to be prepared than dead.

I believe the full size Bersa .380 is 15+1.

    Heh heh.

People will work so hard to believe it can't happen to them. Even when the evidence stacks up to the contrary.
"We are a quiet little neighborhood bar — a Cheers. I guess this can happen to anybody," said Gosnell, who has owned the bar for 10 years."
    ----
According to Beck, there have been sporadic calls for police to the bar: a fight in October 2007, gunfire in August 2007 and gunfire again in December 2006.
    Ridiculous.

When did Ohio start allowing guns in bars?
The last Blood Moon Tetrad for this millennium starts in April 2014 and ends in September 2015...according to NASA.

In Ohio off-duty police officers can't even carry guns in bars. Unless I was misinformed by the Ohian who told me that.
