Police cadet shot day of graduation

A police cadet who is in the same police academy of me, but in the graduating class ahead of mine got shot the morning after he graduated.

He made some mistakes. Apparently he went out to interrupt some guys stealing some wheels off a neighbors car and had his gun tucked in his waistband. From what I've heard they started shooting as soon as he yelled at them. He had neither cover nor concealment when he initiated contact, he initiated contact while outnumbered, and he didn't have his gun drawn.

I hope he learns from this and is more cautious when he does this for his career.

The cop is alive and the neighbor caught a plate number; hopefully, these dirtbags will be enjoying 'three hots and a cot' for a long time.

Thank God he'll live to be able to learn!

He was lucky to survive his dumb mistakes, hopefully he learned from them .

Getting shot and risking death over rims that aren't even your own is not worth it.

Call the cops, be as good a witness as possible, and the neighbor to have such rims should and very likely will have insurance to cover his loss anyway.

Glad though that he is alive and will survive to learn from his multiple tactical errors.

Maybe he needs to go back and do it again. Somehow I'm thinking he'll never live this one down. I bet he has a dozen nicknames (at least) floating around the barracks.
