BAD: Angry 4 y/o Shoots Babysitter - Jackson, OH

Police: Angry Ohio boy, 4, shoots baby sitter - Yahoo! News

JACKSON, Ohio Police say an angry 4-year-old Ohio boy grabbed a gun from a closet and shot his baby sitter.

Eighteen-year-old Nathan Beavers was hospitalized Sunday with minor wounds to his arm and side after the shotgun attack. Police say another teen was also injured.

Witnesses told police the child was angry because Beavers accidentally stepped on his foot. Beavers was watching the child at a mobile home in Jackson with several other teenagers and several other children.

Jackson County Sheriff John Shashteen says authorities are investigating. The child has not been charged.
A 4 y/o shoots someone with a shottie? Does this kid have ape arms or something? I wonder if it is possible the shooting was caused by one of the other teens and they are blaming it on the 4 y/o thinking he wouldn't be in a lot of trouble with the law?

My dad had me shoot a .410 shotgun when I was 5 (at some tin cans or something). I remember it well, for it came up and hit my nose and gave me a bloody nose. I wasn't too happy about it.

    This was around 1956.

As for a 4 year old handling a .410, I have my doubts.

Yeah...I'd say something smells mighty fishy about the whole mess. A 4 Y.O. with a pistol is fathomable, but the shotgun....?

My dad and uncle thought it'd be a great idea to let me shoot a 10 guage when I was 11-12?? I thought I ripped my shoulder off my body. Talk about pain... The whole time my dad and uncle are almost wetting thier pants... Lesson learned, anything with a huge hole at the end of the barrel deserves all the respect you can give it.

Whether this report be 100% factual or if there is some sort of cover up as is theorized by folks above.
The bottom line issue here is that yet again another firearm kept stored unsecured amongst children. Unsecured with ammunition also either unsecured or worst the firearm kept loaded and unsecured.

People we've got to police ourselves and stop doing this crap.

Eighteen year old vs a four year old. How about disparity of force? The big kid had already stepped on his foot demonstrating his evil intent! The "witnesses" were just other members of the evil babysitters gang!
It's a conspiracy I tell you! And the media is involved in the cover up!

My younger brother managed to shoot a hole in the shed roof with a single shot 16 ga when he was 4 years old. You know how strong those hammers were to pull back. My Dad and others had been rabbit hunting and forgot to unload it.

My mother was scared to open the door to see what happened. When she looked, my little brother just said "wow".

I think there's more to this story than is being reported.
