How sad. Another bad guy takes out LE! Where are all the LE bashers now?

May he rest in peace, and peace be with his family.

I don't think you'll find anyone here that "bashes" LEO for doing their job properly. Yes we get on the ones who overstep their positions and break the law (like the SC trooper who head kicked for no reason someone laying prone).

What a waste, it is sad.

Have you read the comments of the readers after the article, interesting...

Bad, bad indeed! Prayers to his family. Thankfully Texas has an expressway to the needle. Mind you not fast enough for scum like this.

As far as LEO bashers I think you should put scumbagLEO bashers or bashers of scumbag LEOs. I don't think most are anti-LEO. I believe like most groups you may statistically have some bad apples and if someone is anti-LEO then they are a very bad apple but it is sad to see that name calling ensues when there is an attempt a healthy dialogue.

I am in the Intel business and we have some very notorius bad guys in the history of intel but just like LE the good has outweighed the bad and we deplore the bad one and are obligated to turn them in even with just a suspicion. With that in mind I don't get my panties in bunch when the IC is run through the ringer constantly and start calling them Intel bashers. /RANT

It has been nearly 12 hours now. 9 pages of comments. All the ones left are postitive/sympathetic. Some seem to reference some that must have been less so and were removed.

Our LEO community is in my prayers every night. God have mercy on this man who showed that there is no greater love than to give up your life for others.
But if you are authorized to carry a weapon, and you walk outside without it, just take a deep breath, and say this to yourself...

They captured the shooter and the guy they were serving the warrant on. Today there was a raid on the entire complex looking for 5 more felony violaters.

The officer that was killed was truly one of the dedicated Dallas LEO's ho worked in one of the most dangerous units on the force. The apartment complex owners are going to have to answer as to why they let it get this bad.

Yeah I just saw this on the news. Prayers to the family of the officer. The last few years have been rough for police, it seems to be happening too much. Once is too much, but it is no less sad to me with each passing one.

My prayers are with his family.

One important reminder / lesson: He probably had about as much training and experience as you can have, decent equipment, a plan on how to serve this warrant and plenty backup... but still: once the bullets start flying you need a good portion of luck. Too bad that his luck ran out today.

It is getting bad now in the reporting, at least on the radio. Apparently there are some people starting up with the excuses of a bad childhood or they didn't know they were Cops knocking on the door, etc.

Keep the excuses and just hold out your arm, you will feel a little stick but then it'll go away...

Oh, and so will you scum.

RIP to this officer and prayers to his Wife and brothers in blue.
