Bad: Gunmen Open Fire In Coffee Shop

Gunmen kill 2, wound 5 in Calif. cafe - Crime & courts- msnbc.com
SAN GABRIEL, Calif. - Masked gunmen opened fire inside a southern California coffee shop, killing two men and wounding five other people before fleeing, police said early Friday.

Officers who received a panic alarm call from the Coffee House cafe were headed there Thursday night when they were flagged down by several people who had been shot, police Sgt. Rene Hernandez said.

Witnesses said two men with bandanas over their faces entered the cafe and opened fire before fleeing, he said.

One victim was declared dead at the scene and another died at a hospital, Hernandez said.

Two victims were hospitalized in critical condition. Three others suffered wounds that were not considered life-threatening, including a man who was grazed by a bullet and declined hospital treatment, Hernandez said.

San Gabriel is about 20 miles east of downtown Los Angeles.
I wonder if it could have had a slightly better outcome if there was a CCW nearby.

Just read it myself. Not sure if someone with a CWP would have made much of a difference. The way I read it they came in, opened fire, then departed. Some things happen too fast for recognition to take place and react.
My first thought on the story is it sounds like a "hit" on someone and others were either collateral damage, or the place was sprayed to make it look random.

Hmmmmmm....... Two guys with masks walk in and start shooting. Anyone else think this was a hit and the guy that was DRT was the target?

I'm sure they were legally purchased weapons too!

I agree sounds like a "HIT" and I don't think you would have much time to react,It would depend on several things or even if you weren't targeted and with your family etc.

    Hit

Revenge, money, drugs or sex whatever one or both of the dead guys were intended targets.
