ATLANTA -- Atlanta police said a home invasion suspect was killed early Saturday morning.
Authorities said the resident, whose 11-year-old child was asleep inside the apartment at the time of the attack, stabbed the suspect after he burst into the family's home shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday in an apparent attempted home invasion.
Authorities said that when the man made a few sudden movements toward the woman, she stabbed the suspect in the chest.
The incident happened in the 2900 block of Springdale Road in southwest Atlanta.
Police later identified the suspect as Jerome Davis, 34, of Atlanta.
Authorities said there are no charges pending against the female victim.
