- Dallas police are on the scene of a shooting at NorthPark Center.

Someone opened fire on the glass doors of an entryway striking a worker who was cleaning the building, according to police.

FOX 4's Saul Garza reports the doors are shattered at the entrance between Macy's and Nordstrom.

Police said someone parked at the shopping center about 5 a.m. and fired 6 or 7 rounds at the doors.

A man inside who is part of the cleaning crew was shot in the head. He was transported to Baylor Hospital and is in fair condition.

The shooting is believed to be random because police say the worker was too far inside the mall to have been a target.

NorthPark Center will open for business at its regular time.
