I agree with TN Mike. Regardless of how remorseful he feels he appears to be guilty of manslaughter and stupidity. That is not a good combonation and he needs a change of address to the Cross Bar Hotel.

Why, oh, why would you ever point a gun - even unloaded - at your bride? I have never even so much as pointed my finger at my wife, and we have been married for just over 20 years.

It wouldn't even cross my mind to point one of my weapons at anyone in my family - loaded, unloaded, disassembled - no matter what condition.

And to top it off, two different stories? hmmmm...

    I call Bullsh*t.

Sounds like a heat of the moment argument by the newlyweds.

Without proof , and she ain't talking, but I've known several couples over the years that within a short period of time filed for divorce, maybe he found out she was gonna leave him or that she was talking to or cheating with an X boyfriend.

My son and I practice with Nerf shotguns and pistols. He has a bad habit of putting finger in trigger gaurd the other day at the range so Nerf practice comes next.

You always have to wonder, I am sure the police thought about that too.

I almost always call BS when I hear "I was cleaning my gun and it went off" stories...this one is a bit different, of course, but still reeks of "just ain't right."
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

There is waaaay more to this story! While I know stupidity reaches new heights daily -- I find it really hard to believe this was an accident. How could any man point a shotgun at his bride, let alone pull the trigger(even if the moron believed it was unloaded)?????

My .02 worth -- murder plain and simple!

This sort of thing is what they make blue guns/red guns and airsoft for, so you can safely engage in demonstrations/training/practice that would otherwise require violating Rule #2.

STUPID.... violated about every gun safety rule there is, right there.

May he be an example in some classes .... and it save someone else's life... why you follow the safety rules in gun handling AT ALL TIMES.

    1. ALL guns are loaded.
    2. Never point it anything you don't plan to shoot.
    3. And never put your finger on the trigger until you are ready to shoot it.

Too bad that "she" as the one who lost her life over his stupidity.

My first thought would be that he faked the accident, but only married 3 months it doesnt seem the case. IMO, he was stupid, but doesnt deserve criminal charges. I think he already has gotten the biggest punishment he could.
I know of a case where the guy killed his wife on thier honeymoon..

There is no telling if it was an accident or not,

His problem is thathe lied about it when giving his first story & I'm might be cynical but the second story doesn't sound any better.

Reguardless though, without a criminal history he won't do much, if any time.

You talking about the guy in australia talked his wife into learning to scuba dive and first time on a big dive in the ocean she ends up drowned and his story is holier than swiss cheese
