And this is a very busy Walmart & at 8:50 in the evening too; I bet that "Door Greeter" almost pee'd their pants.....

GREENSBORO — A man pointed a gun at a store clerk as the Walmart Supercenter was robbed Wednesday.

Greensboro police said the incident happened at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Walmart at 4424 W. Wendover Ave.

According to police, a man was leaving the store with a shopping cart when an employee asked to see his receipt. The man pulled a gun and placed it on the employee's chest. He fled with an undisclosed amount of merchandise.

Police did not identify the clerk. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a black man in his early 20s with a medium build who was wearing dark clothing and a black baseball cap. Anyone with information about this incident can call Crime Stoppers at 373-1000.

When I was in college many years ago and working at a small grocery store (near 2 bars)..... that happened when 2 guys let us ring it up, then started to walk out... without paying. They pulled knives on me and the Asst Mgr that went out the door right behind me after them.

What they didn't see...... was the police car coming down the street behind them .... that I was able to discreetly signal (as they were threatening us). When the LEO got quietly out of his car , gun drawn and got up behind them and told them to 'freeze'....... it was choice.

I wish I had a picture of the look on their face when they realized an LEO was standing right behind them with a gun pointed at their heads.

Seriously though, definitely ballsy, in a bad way. There seem to be far smarter places to rob than a Wal-Mart supercenter, with cameras at all angles and areas, and a gazillion people. Of course, if they were truly smart, they wouldn't be criminals in the first place.
