Big Chicken Pawn Shop Employee Shot

MARIETTA, Ga. -- Marietta police were called to the scene of a shooting at a pawn shop near the Big Chicken in Cobb County Wednesday afternoon.

Police told Channel 2 Action News reporter Ross Cavitt the shooting happened at the Big Chicken Pawn Shop around 11:15 a.m.

Police said they got a call that said there was an armed robbery at the business. A pawn shop employee received a gunshot wound to the leg. Another employee, who was described as one of the owners, had been apparently hit by a stun gun.

Witnesses said they saw two suspicious people wandering up and down Highway 41 right before the incident happened.

Marietta police have tracking dogs searching for the two suspects.

The employee who was shot was transported to Kennestone Hospital in stable condition.

I get lunch across from this place from time to time, but I never went inside, just pass by every day, at lest the victim survived.

Not just that, but they should have BARS to prevent robbers from getting over the register, some got bullet proff glass... it may not look "friendly" but it's safer.
