Murder of two LEO's and attemtped murder of a third would probably get the death penalty down here.

Parole in 25.... that's just crazy talk!

I'd sleep better knowing he was out of the picture completely.

Are you sure Curt doesn't have a Texas Drivers License.
Anything to tie his residency to the great state of Texas?

Since there is no death penalty in Canada, I hope they can run the sentences consecutively, so there is no chance he will ever leave prison except in a pine box.

Two consecutive sentences of 50 year for each murder of the two LEO's and another 25 for the attempted murder w/o possibility of parole sound about right to me.

Too bad he is not in Florida. This 25years to life does not cut it. It should be a life for a life.

Not to sound like Archie Bunker, but he's one of ours. Politically correct called First Nations AKA Native Indian.

If you read the comments below the story, most respondents will agree with that. Unfortunately up here we have the "Concurrent Sentance" AKA volume discount in LEO speak.

I've heard prison floors can get pretty slippery when they are mopped, especially near the stairs. Anybody think our hero will have an unfortunate accident while incarcerated?

Hey ret... I remember the run-up to when they executed Ted Bundy down there. I saw on the local news coverage being carried nationally of some people wearing T-shirts that said..."Tuesday is Fryday!"

I got a chuckle out of that.

Love Ron White's bit on the "express lane" in Texas!

California needs to adopt Texas' attitude. They have over 600 on death row and execute about one every 12 years. Come on.... lets move the line along and free up some bunk space in California instead of letting 'em out early.

    Update, he's been sentenced.

Sask. judge hands Dagenais 3 life sentences in Mountie shootings

He got the maximum allowed under Canadian law.
