John Kelso is not an editorial writer for the AAS. He is the local curmudgeon who attempts to write a humorous piece for the paper. I say, "attempts", just because he often fails. His primary purpose in life seems to be to praise the virtues of "bubba-ism" and Austin's weird hippie-like counterculture residents, simultaneously. You can't take his writing seriously. Today's article, for example, made fun of local restaurant that serves organic hamburgers. If you've ever seen Kelso, you can guess that he hasn't missed too many opportunities at a hamburger, organic or otherwise.

The criminals already take the above list x10 and go to town with it, spreading their evil ways. The relaxing of the laws are intended to do one thing, journalist Mr. Kelso: remove the boot of the neck of upstanding citizens so that they may be armed in all these places where felons already threaten people. Get a clue, pal. It ain't about shootouts. It's about stopping crime the instant it occurs, terminating those assaults, rapes, muggings, robberies and murders we all know and hate.
