Interesting mix of replies. In Mississippi, they can come and go as they please, which makes sense to me. How can they catch you shooting game out of season if they have to ask you permission to do so?

Around here, the game wardens have one of the toughest jobs in LE, and get my full respect. They don't have the luxury of calling in backup every time in some of the remote locations they get into, and their rate of being fired upon in the line of duty is pretty high. To top it off, when I've met one, I've yet to walk away thinking what a jerk he was. They're all friendly and helpful, just have a job to do...

This one sounds a bit suspect, but hey, benefit of the doubt until it's investigated.

EDIT: Since that updated info came up, I kinda see the officer's point. Can't fault him b/c the guy didn't follow some really basic common sense instructions: 1) come down to address this 2) don't threaten me 3) gimme that gun 'til this gets sorted... if it's all true, of course.

I don't understand your aiming your post towards me

did you miss my above posts where I stated our Texas Game Wardens are Texas Peace Officers.....and go through the same academy as our DPS troopers????? then go through further training for TPWD?
I'm well aware of what Game Wardens are since I'm a LEO and hunter myself

If loose gun laws are good for criminals why do criminals support gun control?

    Yeah me neither 64z.

I think I may have mistyped your SN and was thinking and reading toward some other and different person.

    My mistake.
