    Bounty Hunter shot at

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. Police in Colorado say shots were fired at TV bounty hunter Duane "Dog" Chapman and a bail bondsman when they tried to apprehend a man whose bail was revoked on an attempted murder charge.

Colorado Springs police Sgt. Roger Vargason says the two were attempting to take 35-year-old Hoang Nguyen into custody at an apartment complex Tuesday night when Nguyen shot at them at least once with a handgun and fled on a motorcycle.

    No injuries were reported.

Vargason says initial reports showed Chapman and the bondsman were armed only with paintball guns.

Police said Chapman apprehended Nguyen early Wednesday. He was due in court Wednesday afternoon.

Chapman is best known for the TV reality series "Dog the Bounty Hunter" on the A&E network.
I think It's pretty stupid to be running around with a paintball gun trying to apprehend violent criminals, but he's a convicted felon so he can't carry a real gun

They seem to forget that firearms in Hawaii are heavily restricted but in the mainland criminals got guns and some of them ain't afraid to shoot anybody,I'll bet when they apprehended the guy they had some armed people with them and took him down at gun point,or located him and called the cops to make the arrest

Even if he was able to carry a firearm I doubt the networks would like it. The media doesn't like the idea of private citizens with guns.
I wouldn't be supprised that the idea of non-lethal weapons being good enough isn't what the show is trying to imply.

Man, I was wondering how long it was going to take for them to get shot at. Running around with those black "tacticool" paintball guns, and their crazy tactics. It's like some kind of game.

I found their pic, right here ..

Would it be against the law to go running after people with a paintball gun ?.

Can felons own tasers? It would seem to be a better option than a paintball gun.

I have no use for the guy. "Dog Chapman is a thug just like those he chases down. No one would know who he was if it weren't for the idiots who have nothing better to do than live their lives through "reality" shows. I've heard young people talk about how "cool" he is and basically hold him up as a role model. This is from his biography.

The oldest of four children, Chapman was raised in a tough and poor environment. During his youth he lived in Texas and other parts of the United States and pursued an active life in crime. Chapman dropped out of school in the ninth grade and joined the Devil's Disciples motorcycle gang.

Chapman has been arrested 18 times for armed robbery. In 1976, he and other members of the Devil's Disciples were arrested for the murder of a local pimp and drug dealer. Although Chapman insisted that a fellow gang member had acted alone in killing the man, he was found guilty for his alleged role in the murder.

In 1977, he was sentenced to five years of intense labor. While serving time in a Texas state penitentiary, Chapman turned to Christianity and swore to reform his life (his nickname is "God" spelled backward). After only two years behind bars, Chapman was given parole.

Can we change the title of this thread to "Idiot with a Paint-ball gun shot at"?

This man seems to have just enough brain cells to be a danger to himself.

I want to be just like him. He and his wife are such snappy dressers. I'm going to stick a feather in my hair and run around Hawaii too. No wonder he gets shot at.

As far as I know, it's not against the law for being stupid.
