    Exclamation Breaking News: MIAMI

Right here in my home town of Miami FL today....a gunman attempted to rob a patron at a local eatery while he (GG) was standing in line to order. The "victim" came up with his own lawfully possessed firearm and opened fire. The BG died at the hospital. If this one is as reported on the "news at noon," then it will possibly be the first test of the new "Castle Doctrine Law;" affectionately known as the Make My Day law. This means BG's kin do not get to sue and local antigun prosecutors do not get to put on expensive dog & pony show to deter other folks from self defense. YAY!

Please keep us advised. I do not understand how politicians benefit from prosecuting decent folks and standing up for criminals. It certainly wouldn't get you elected dog catcher here (in Alabama).

Hang on..... I just saw something on another website. It happened yesterday at a convenience store on W. Dixie Hwy at 4AM.

Sounds like a great result, however unfortunate for the BG. It'll be interesting to see how it "plays out" in the local press too - see if their liberal leanings continue.

The new "Castle Doctrine Law" has already been put to test up here, at least 2 times that I know of.
In both instances the victim was not even taken into custody. It works.

    however unfortunate for the BG.
It wont effect the BG, that sucker will be dead. It’s the BG's family that will gripe, over it. Boo hoo.. Can’t get a chance to take me to court to get their crack money.

I'm pretty sure in TN, that you cannot be sued (civil) as a result of a justified shooting.

I looked today, too and it was gone. It was on the 5pm news and it disappeared. I think the media hate it anytime a GG kills a BG with a gun and they try to gloss over the story. Time to move on to the next event and they hope it won't turn out so good for the gunowner.

We need this law in every state. I have been trying to encourage folks here in Minnesota to get the ball rolling for this. Keep us posted.

I wasn't aware of that but I really hope you're right. If someone threatens you with serious injury or death then they deserve the most extreme response you're capable of delivering - and they should have no right to legal recourse as a result. I've said it before ... Don't start none, there won't be none!
