LONG BEACH, Calif.—Police have shot and killed a man after he allegedly ambushed officers at a Long Beach home.
Long Beach police spokeswoman Lisa Massacani says officers reported to the home early Sunday after a woman reported a dispute.
She says the suspect ambushed the officers, shooting at them from the street.
Police chased the man, who stopped twice to exhange gunfire with officers.
Massacani says a police car was shot, although no officers were injured.
During the second exchange of gunfire, police shot the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Massacani says police recovered two handguns and a shotgun from the unidentified man.

Always nice to see when the LEOs are unharmed and there's one less BG to clog up the court systems. Or get 3 free hots and a cot, courtesy of Joe Taxpayer.
Thank you California Law Enforcement.
I just pulled in a deep breath, and the air seems a bit cleaner now that the scumbag has ceased to exist.
