I just don't under stand why? if they were so experienced then they should have known that they had a big house because of all the children not because they were rich. Just donít under stand what home burglary requires 7 people. Of all the scumbags out there why did these kind people have to die? Let everyone take notice that it can happen to anyone at any time.

It generally requires coin to have as many children never mind to be able to adopt as many children, and they are mostly special needs at that.
Further they were not unknown persons amongst their community _and_ they both were multiple local business owners.
As well several of the attackers knew of them and the layout of their home as having been hired to come on site and do trade work for them so it's not like this was a random out of the blue effort. It was planned and organized and the attackers knew of their target...and their relative degree of wealth and possessions as within.
And they very likely assumed it would be an easy job as they are relatively out of the way not being located physically close amongst other neighbors. As well their home is rife with special needs kids who would present no if any opposition. And they knew up front there would be a camera system to disable (attempted but failed...which was their undoing) and at that no dog (!) to deal with and they probably felt out the couple too as being the passive/easy to take down type. :|

Homes such as this are a liability as related to view by others and relational risk, especially amongst smaller communities where they stand out amongst the majority.

Police announce they want to talk to real estate agent Pamela Laverne Long. They are also looking for at least one more accomplice who, they say, failed to disable the Billings' home surveillance system.
