    Cool Home run!

Toy-gun robber foiled by bat-wielding store worker
    The Associated Press

Authorities in south Alabama say a gas station employee used a cricket bat to chase away a would-be robber who brandished a toy gun.

The Baldwin County Sheriff's office says the suspect entered Bee Gee's gas station near Bay Minette Saturday afternoon and tried to use the fake weapon to steal money.

Sheriff's Cpl. Mike Gaull tells the Press-Register of Mobile that the employee noticed the gun had an orange tip on the barrel and grabbed the cricket bat. The suspect then ran out of the store without any money.

The 22-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with first-degree robbery.

    Incorrect Title!!

In cricket you don't hit a home run, you "hit them for six", as in </TITLE></HEAD> <BODY><CENTER> <TITLE>An Explanation of Cricket

I wonder if these type of criminal masterminds really know just how stupid they really are. Nah, probably not, can't expect too much from them.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Why wouldn't they paint toy guns to look real, unless they are hoping to get to pop someone by making a person think the gun pointing at them is a toy? Seems backward to me.

I wonder if that shop owner/employee is now going to get some proper weapons? He has the guts, now he needs the right tools.
