    I'm glad everything worked out for you, ACPARMED, but in situations like this you want to de-escalate the tension, not escalate it. Throwing down the gauntlet may be interpreted as escalating a confrontation. When someone makes a threat, call the police, and maybe leave the premises, but don't make statements that can come back to haunt you.
