New Hampshire Pharmacy Robbed by Grenade-Wielding Man
Saturday, July 18, 2009
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Police in New Hampshire are looking for a suspect who robbed a pharmacy while armed with what appeared to be a hand grenade.
Portsmouth police say a man wearing a fake mustache and sideburns entered a Rite Aide drug store Friday morning, held up a grenade and demanded drugs and cash. Police say the suspect, who appeared to be in his 40s, then fled the store with an undetermined amount of money and drugs.
Detective Lt. Corey MacDonald told the Portsmouth Herald that the grenade appeared to be real and that police will treat it as such until they know otherwise.

I believe in this case grenade trumps handgun. Some situations can not be solved this way. My first instinct is to head for cover, and lots of it - as in concrete block wall at least - and as much distance as possible. Add in a health dash of PRAYER!

Chances are the grenade is probably Inert as in hole drilled paper weight,But whether pin is pulled or not unless you can sever his spine at the base of his neck with one shot he can react enough to pull the pin, then what, just be a good witness

I do know that my gun rules are as such...do not bring a gun to a grenade fight, in fact...decline the invitation all together.
"That was close!" counts in horseshoes and hand-grenades.
"That I cannot do."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

I think we need more legislation against citizen ownership of such destructive devices. Clearly this was a result of a loophole in the law that allowed him to purchase it. We gotta find it and close it ASAP.
