GOOD Bank: Security 2 BGs 0

    http://newsok.com/one-slain-one-inju...rticle/3386381

A would be bank robber was killed and another injured after a security guard shot them at an Oklahoma City bank today.

A white woman wearing a mask and carrying a gun walked into a MidFirst Bank, 2225 N May, at about 10 a.m., said FBI agent Daniel Williams.

“At that point in time, a security guard then saw her and engaged her. He then shot her in the chest.” Williams said.

A white male who was in a white vehicle began shooting at the security guard before the guard shot him in the chest. The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital. The man was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.

The FBI is also investigating two more bank robberies, one at Bank of America, 2101 W Memorial Rd., and another at IBC Bank, 1924 N. Portland Avenue.

The robberies are not connected, Williams said.

How about the reporting? A white woman, white man, and a white car.

Of course the guard and the bank will both get sued now.

Maybe it is a Mid-west thing, but I work with financial institutions all day long and I NEVER see armed security. Strange.

I'm surprised that the bank guard had a gun, and I'm really surprised that the bank guard knew how to use his gun...it all ended pretty well, too.
This is one of of a ton of bank robberies that I have read about where the BG got shot during the commission of their crime...

Indeed it did end well. OK probably has more bank robberies than any other state. More and more banks here are hiring security guards here. I know several bank employes who are not guards who pack.

Wow, An ARMED Security Guard. Few years ago I saw ONE bank in Mobile whose Security Guard was armed - Canadian Bank bought it out - few weeks later - same Guard - no gun. Against new banks policy.

Shame but most guards in my area are unarmed - very few armed guard positions around here.

    Thumbs up

Like others, I'm pleasantly surprised the guard was armed.

I'm thrilled he was both 1. trained and 2. able to execute under stress.

All in all, a good day.

it is a shamefull trend to have unarmend security.
armed Guard: bad guy has a bad day.
armed Guard: bank may get suied.
armed Guard: I would use this bank.

disarmed Guard: bad place to be.
disarmed Guard: bank is saying that they care about your security but not much.
disarmed Guard: does not even make a good club.
