Wow... Scary Stuff from LEO in California...

This story should have people a little concerned because this type of stuff happens all the time and never gets caught or reported. Watch the video clip.

If they cooked up this story over a fender bender... what are the implications for things far more serious? I wouldn't want to be stopped by guys like this with a concealed weapon. Who knows what you would be accused of. GOOD THING THERE WAS A VIDEO CAMERA IN THE CAR AND THEY WERE DUMB ENOUGH TO FORGET AND BE CAPTURED ON TAPE.

Amazing isn't it. I thought the same thing. How could they possibly have forgotten something like that. Makes you wonder how they passed and got a badge and a gun in the first place. I just hope they cat she was trying to avoid wasn't hurt.

This is a very unfortunate situation. Unfortunate because one bad apple makes it really, really bad for good cops who just try to do the best job they can. It's also unfortunate because it's situations like this that make me very apprehensive to have any encounter with the police unless I need/call them.

Fortunately for me, I was raised to have integrity and to respect the law and LE. So far so good. With the exception of one incident at age 14, I've made it 44 years without having any contact with the police. I've served on a few juries, and testified at one trial against a teenager for brandishing a weapon and threatening my neighbor. But, not so much as a traffic violation for me and I hope to keep it that way. I'm sure the bad apples are way outnumbered by the good ones, but you can never know which straw you'll draw until its too late.

I hope these guys get the book thrown at them Whatever the penalty is, they need to pay it. You can't abuse the trust that is placed in you as a protector of the public.

Prison no suspension no loss of job, Prison. That is the only punishment that is just. They didn't even make a mistake they knowingly framed someone.

This happens so often that it's not unusual anymore. The sorrowful thing to have to say today is that most law enforcement is looking for a reason to pull you over knowing that the road to promotion is paved with citations and that, if your not doing anything you shouldn't be, they can always find something later to use to excuse the stop.

Same type of cops would plant a knife or gun on somebody they shot accidently,to cover up the shooting and claim self defense

    Throw the book at them...

**** like this makes the rest of us look bad. Integrity is number one in this job, most of the time it is your word against the suspects and if you can't be trusted, what good are you?

Yes. General population, no protection. These guys are not cops. They are criminals. If they would do this, imagine what else they did before this incident.
