BAD: Murder during a carjacking
Teen shot, killed during attempted carjacking in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ -- A 15-year-old Sunnyside High School sophomore has been killed in a carjacking attempt.
Investigators say it started as a home invasion about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday night. Five suspects broke into a home and demanded drugs and money.
Police said at some point the suspects realized they were in the wrong house and ran out the door and that's when they tried to carjack a passing vehicle.
A woman driving refused to stop and police say one suspect opened fire through the driver's window hitting the 15-year-old victim in the front passenger seat.
A three-year-old in the backseat was not hurt.
The girl's mother drove to a nearby convenience store and asked the clerk to call 911.
Tucson police said the girl died at the hospital.
Her name has not been released and no arrests have been made.

How incredibly sick and how random is this? First the dirtbags invade the wrong home, then kill an innocent girl who simply had the misfortune to be in the wrong place at exactly the wrong instant.
Tucson has a reputation for being a bastion of liberal thought and politics... and the police chief is not supportive of armed citizens. Wonder how this will fly in the judicial system, assuming these scum are caught.

Time to return to public hangings

Maybe the chief can explain his stance that if he wants only the police to have the guns, WHY THE HELL WERE'NT THEY THERE TO PROTECT this citizen???
Funny the press never asks this type of question.

So many dirtbags, such a weak 'injustice system', liberal judges...
Vigilantism...hopefully, our society won't have to degrade to this...

Stay armed...things are getting much worse, very quickly...stay safe!

Hey... Now that is a little close to home,...
I'm sure it was on the southside (not that it should matter) but regardless,.. I hope they catch them,...
Agree - Public hanging would possibly do good,..
Again that makes us all remember, anytime, and any place,... Never know when that could be you or I driving down the road,. Always carry, Always be prepared..

This is sad, but just goes to show that bad things happen anywhere.
I will argue however that even if the driver and the teen victim had guns, they were not the appropriate tool to use in this situation, from what was reported,
Getting out of Dodge, using the car's speed and limited protection would be the appropriate response here sadly. I say sadly because even though it sounds like the driver did the "right" thing, an innocent was still hurt.
There are no guarantees when bullets start flying in your direction. Stopping the car would not be a good tactic, and you would have to stop the car to engage with gunfire. If you've never tried shooting from a moving vehicle, while attempting to drive, I don't recommend you do it. Clint Smith has said, "Shoot or drive. You can't do both." I happen to agree.
For those that think shooting while fleeing is acceptable, just remember one thing; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR EACH AND EVERY BULLET YOU FIRE! I sure as heck wouldn't want to be answering for where my bullets ended up if I was shooting from a moving vehicle while I was attempting to flee. The liability of such is too much, except in the most remote of places, and even then I'm inclined to do one or the other, but not both.

Tucson is really turning into a dangerous place. I am glad I got orders to move to Alaska; I just hope the family and I can stay safe until we leave in December. The illegal alien, border crime and gang problem here needs to be addressed quickly. That poor girl's life ended way too soon!

Does anybody here think the person that pulled that trigger should be allowed to live? In cases like this the only trial should be to decide if you are going to hang them or lethal injection.

Just one more reason I pack a semi-auto.
Definitely not a situation you'd ever want to be in regardless of what you carry, but I'll take a semi-auto over a revolver every single time, if I had to take on that many perps.
Also a very good example of why one should own a semi-auto shotgun or rifle.
