Missouri Nuns Chase Down Armed Robber on Foot

A pair of sandal-clad nuns in Missouri chased down an armed robbery suspect and helped police put handcuffs on him, FOX4KC reported.

Sisters at Saint Francis of Holy Eucharist Convent in Independence, Mo., spotted a gun-toting man in their fields who turned out to be a suspect police believe is responsible for several burglaries in the area.

"We looked out the window and saw someone in the bean field. I thought it was someone hunting. He was dragging something with him," Sister Connie told FOX4KC. "He kept coming across the field...I saw he had a gun in hands, what I thought was a rifle, and he dropped it in the field."

When he realized he had been spotted the suspect set off on foot and was chased by a nun in flip-flops who goes by Sister Catrina.

She chased him behind their green house and alerted authorities and the suspect ended up in police custody. Charges have yet to be filed.

Well, if you want to know the truth, those nuns are nothing to mess with...just ask anyone who went to Catholic school.

I wonder what this idiot's 'prison story' (what he tells the guys) is going to be?

O.K. As a follow up to content of other threads where folks agreed that employees should be fired for " foolishly" chasing bank robbers and purse snatchers, does the nun get defrocked? How much penance for her misdeeds?

Seriously, why do we applaud her good deeds but dump on those others who did good deeds? See, it really is about civic responsibility and I applaud her.

IMO Hopyard what she/they did was foolish, as well.

And if the church they are employed by has an HR policy in place that is known and enforced as against such acts then per their employment contract if any, they too should suffer whatever penalty is inclusive there under.

Observe and report...Unless there is real and immediate mortal danger to human beings, as opposed to say inanimate objects and pets which are property, or you happen to be a Hollywood/Marvel/DC Comic superhero.
