Hospital ER patient killed by LEO(rightfully so)
Video - Breaking News Videos from CNN.com
Ok, it's great that the LEO took care of this nut job, but WTH? Did anyone pay attention to the beginning of the video? He broke into a house and stole 3 handguns. Police came back and took the REST of the guns from the home for "safe keeping".
What's up with that? Your home gets broken into, 3 guns are stolen, and the cops steal the rest? Something's not right with that.

Chicago sure sounds like a nice place to visit. Anyway, that third gun is going to guarantee a huge lawsuit and possibly, an officer will be more than suspended. As for those seized guns, maybe it was voluntary.

Since the other weapons were not secured and the home was already broken into if the homeowner was unavailable to secure them I might see some justification for taking them, but then how does he get them returned?

The video says they were taken for "safe keeping". Maybe the owner was on vacation. That would make sense. Otherwise it DOESN'T make sense.
Good case for owning a weapons safe either way.

Sounds like something else was going on.
I loved the way the announcer said gun. You could hear in his intonation "evil, nobody should own, only bad guys have them" implications. After years and years and years of this, people believe it. I am shocked that gun sales are so through the roof.

Yeah I easily caught that too. After all it was CNN so the announcer was likely a left-wing advocate and the main stream media in general, loves to hate the 2A. As for guns sales; well not everyone is buying although I'm on my forth purchase in six months. ~

Yeah, gotta love that. I call mine a "freedom arsenal"! Or an "Arsenal of Freedom"!
I wonder how they missed the third weapon during the search? Did he have it hidden somewhere other than on his person?

I wonder if the homeowner ever though of buying a gun safe instead of leaving so many guns lying around.

How does someone get caught with two guns (missing the third
)and not go to jail?!?

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if he stashed it under the mattress in the treatment room before they came in. I don't think the police expected to find two weapons....so over looking a third would not be impossible or unreasonable.
