I hope 18 year old scumbag does not handle prison well at all. I hope every moment in prison is the worst of all horrors! I hope he never becomes a regular comfortable institutionalized prisoner. He deserves to be miserable every moment.

I beieve that there will be 'next in line' ticket machine right out side his new cell......I hope he provides a 100+ years of stress relief for the biggest and meanest of the worst federal prison possible.

Yes, it is wrong. It is very sad that he shot the dog but, a human life is much more important than an animals life.

The thing that most upsets me about that story is that he car-jacked a woman and her 10 day old child.

Depends on the human in my book. Scum like the criminal should be put down.

    Agreed, very much so.

Lets not lose our sense of reason here.
In the end it's just a dog, a police dog yes, but just a dog..not a human being.

The dog did it's job as trained and primarily intended toward, backup and support the human officer at risk of it's self.

If this is my understanding that cop needs to find a new line of work ,it sounds like he won't use his firearm even when he needs to

No me too. But I wasn't there. And who knows if the NEWS report is correct.

Heck, I'll make the wedding gown, even though I swore off bridal work 10 years ago. I'll even custom fit it with lots of pins

    +1.

There's something cool about that in a James Bond kind of day. You hit a button and you car fires an angry dog at the bad guy. Too bad it didn't work our this time like it would in the movies.

The dog is still paralyzed, they are saying it may have to be put down. As for the perp, 2millon dollar bond.

It was on the news yesterday, this specific department, their K-9 program is all funded by donations, no city money is used. The money for this specific dog came from a fundraiser that was held in honor of an officer from the agency that had died in Iraq.
