I too have been wondering why this hasn't been all over the news, in my opinion this incident shows that even if guns are completely banned, BG's will find other means to cause destruction and death.
As sad as it may be, its probably not bigger on the news not because he didn't have any guns, but because (thankfully), no one was killed or hurt. That is basically what it takes to grab people's attention, which is how the stations get ratings.
Good job on the part of the teachers, although I don't think I'd enjoy tackling someone strapped with pipebombs if i had other options.
