NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Police said a 60-year-old man shot a teenager who tried to rob his home Saturday night.
Metro Police said the break-in happened on Lindy Murff Court in South Nashville.
The 60-year-old resident shot one of the two robbers in the chest. Later, the two robbers showed up at the Shell station on Haywood Lane in Antioch, asking for help, police said.
The wounded man claimed he had been robbed and shot during the robbery.
Paramedics rushed the wounded man to the hospital and he is expected to survive. The other man has been arrested. Police have not released their names.
"The wounded man claimed he had been robbed and shot during the robbery."
Sure... the 60-year old, inside his own house, invites a stranger into his home, shoots and robs him... makes perfect sense to me.
Good for the home owner.

I was thinking "Good for the old guy!", then I remembered I'm 61; the kid did good...

The article keeps mentioning the "60" year old, ok, he's 60 we get it. They declined to give the real age of the "teenager". Assume he's between 13 &19 so just pick one, eh?
Aside from that rant, good shoot, but he may want to invest in a larger caliber. I would assume he used a .25 acp to thwart the intruder, the kid survived his invasion and robbery attempt. Most of the peeps here would have dispatched the would-be to the next world with what most say they have. I got a .25, but my home and personal defense calibers are 9mm, .38 spl and the venerable .357 magnum.

I'm sixty six and strongly agree with his actions. By the way, 60 ain't old.

How we behave as gun owners is important. Posturing and threatening does not serve us well in the public eye.
No one ever got to be old by not defending themselves or by being stupid.
Watch em boys , them old guys will hurt ya !
