    AD at a Gun Show?

Am I going insane or did I see something on the news today about an AD at a gun show in Arizona? I remember it said there were a couple of injuries. I hope I was just hallucinating. I think it said it was a dealer's gun.
    Anyone?

I saw the CBS national news and there was nothing about it. If anyone had the chance for an anti-gun raving, it would be CBS.

You used to never hear stuff like this, now it happens at least once a year.

It was at a Crossroads of the West show in Mesa. Idiot dealer brought in a loaded gun - presumably for defensive reasons - and failed to maintain control of it. A show attendee got his hands on it and pulled the trigger.

No one was "shot" - the bullet hit a rifle buttstock and then splattered on a metal door. The woman and a kid were hit with "shrapnel" but they were not "shot" with a bullet.

    Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Abosultely no excuse for this stuff...should be a rather large penalty...IMHO.
Want to close gun shows? Have more of this stuff happen...

Thanks, people. I knew someone here could get the skinny on it. Retsupt is right though. Incidents like this are what will shut down gun shows. This dealer should be banned from shows nationally. He has put the entire industry in the sights of the "antis".

Phew, glad I wasn't hallucinating though. At my age, sometimes we wonder about reality, and sometimes we wander through it!

I too saw this on the news. It made me think of a thread that was on here not too long ago, debating "carrying at gun shows".

Call me a cynic, but I wonder how many of these are caused by Antis? It wouldn't be a problem to palm a live round, and 'accidentally' have it go off. I wouldn't put it past a couple of people I know who are anti, and they're sane compared to some of the ones we see on TV...

Once a year? Try once a month. It just happened here in CO in the last month (I had a thread posted on it) and someone piped up that there had just been another somewhere back east the month previous.

There are quite enough idiots out there that I think we can forgo the conspiracy theories this time .

Was the OC one another vender's gun or a customer's?
