An argument over a gas pump at a Tesoro ended in one man holding a gun to another man's head inside the gas station's convenience store.
On Saturday at 10:35 a.m., two men pulled up to the same gas pump at about the same time. They both got out of their vehicles and exchanged words, said Lt. Don Hutson of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office.
A 19-year-old man walked into the convenience store, and was followed by a 41-year-old man.
The younger man started to leave when the older one pulled the gun out, holding it to the younger man's head.
"He said 'One word and you're dead, [expletive]. You're a smart [expletive] and your life is about to end,'" Hutson said.
After a few minutes, the armed man left. The victim called police. Two clerks gave police license plate information.
Later, the armed man returned to the gas station, asking clerks about the incident and whether police were called. After the second visit, employees called police again, and they were able to track the man to his home.
There, the man admitted to pulling the gun, but "he said he didn't remember anything else. He claimed he was in a blackout state," Hutson said.
The man was arrested on aggravated assault charges and booked into jail. It appears the man was a concealed weapons permit holder as there were no weapon-possession charges filed, Hutson said.
    Police have confiscated the weapon.

No common sense. I'm sure the left will eat this up. This guy deserves to go to jail for stupidity. Why on earth would you pull a gun over a freaking gas pump?

Some people have no common sense.

"It appears"?. The clowns that pass for journalists nowadays leave much to be desired. If I'm not mistaken, you don't need a license or permit to own a gun in Utah, hence no charges.

How we behave as gun owners is important. Posturing and threatening does not serve us well in the public eye.

The guy is an idiot. Whether the report was correct in mentioning that his CWP allowed him to have a weapon or not is irrelavent. Besides, if he didn't have a CWP and "pulled out a gun" he would also be in violation of concealed carry without a license wouldn't he?

He is an idiot, needs to have charges pressed, loose his CWP, and do some time in jail. Again, he is an idiot.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

What a maroon..... Its people like this that give us all a bad name. This is exactly what the anti-gun crowd is always in "fear" of.

It appears the man was a concealed weapons permit holder as there were no weapon-possession charges filed, Hutson said.
This is an ignorant statement. Every Utah CCW permit has a phone number on the back for LE to check the validity of the permit. Nobody called to check? I've been following this story locally and this guy is another moron caught up in the gene pool. It appears that this is just another example of road rage. If you cannot control your temper, you shouldnt have a concealed handgun. This guy needs to go to jail ... period. He's lucky the kid was 19 and not 21. A 21 y/o would most likely have had his own permit and handgun ... then what? A gunfight presumably. Moron, meat and eyeballs!
