Texas man found asleep with corpse inside closet; Cody Jean Plant charged with drug offenses

Cooper/GettyA Texas man was arrested after he was found sleeping in a closet with a corpse.
A Texas homeowner who heard mysterious voices found a stranger sleeping in his closet - with a corpse.
"There were two guys in the closet. They appeared to be sleeping, one was snoring and the other was deceased," Harris County Assistant Chief Deputy Mark Herman said. "It appeared that they were doing some sort of narcotics, at least the one that they woke up."
The dead man was not identified.
His strange bedfellow, Cody Jean Plant, 21, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor drug possession.
The owner of the vacant home in Cypress, about 25 miles northwest of Houston, alerted police after he heard strange voices and saw signs of a break-in.
Plant initially was charged with abuse of a corpse after prosecutors alleged he treated the body "in an offensive manner,"
but that charge was dropped.
He faces a possible year in jail if convicted of misdemeanor charges of one count of possession of a dangerous drug and two counts of possession of a controlled substance of more than three grams and less than 28 grams.
Officials did not identify the drugs. He remains jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Plant was arrested last May and charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.
His lawyer told the Houston Chronicle that the situation sounds like a misunderstanding.
"Once we get to the bottom of this, I think he'll be cleared," lawyer Ralph Manginello said.

Didn't mention the drugs, but my guess is heroin. The stuff has made a comeback of sorts in my area and is responsible for at least 10 deaths, my cousin's son included. Most of what is coming to our town is black tar heroin from Columbus, OH and surrounding areas.
Maybe the treatment of a body in an offensive manner means he injected the drugs into the now deceased man. Just my thoughts on the matter.

My Mrs. atttended a school meeting where they are starting to teach kids at the age of 10 about the dangerous use of heroin/meth/pot. Kids are snorting heroin instead of shooting it. It is cheaper to make and easier to get. Scary world out there.

I've heard of people have skeletons in their closets, but not whole bodies.
Somebody was 'whacked out' to be hiding in someone's closed with a corpse.
