Man shot after apparent road rage attack in Detroit

    By CECIL ANGEL

One man was shot today as he attempted to pull another man out of car because he believed the man cut him off in traffic, Detroit police said.

Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens said the incident unfolded at 3:30 p.m. on the city's east side. The shooting victim, described only as a 33-year-old man, and the man who shot him, identified only as a 29-year-old man, were traveling west on I-94 when the older man believed the younger man had cut him off in traffic.

Both drivers exited at Cadieux and were stopped at a red light when the older driver got out of his car and began kicking out a window in the other man's car and attempted to pull him out of the car. The younger man pulled out a handgun and shot him, Stephen said.

She said the wounded man was taken to an area hospital but did not give details on his condition. The man had a permit for handgun and there have been no arrests.

More information required. However, if it happened as described, I would have done the same thing.

You would think these hot heads would learn to ignore things instead of blowing up. All I can say is grow up.

Good thing the guy had a permit. Sounds like a clean shoot to me...

The shooter was completely in line. Notice how he actually waited for the antagonist to present "immediate danger" before actually pulling the trigger.

    Serves the idiot right!

IMO there's way to many folks out there that are living right on the edge for what ever reason. When something happens that pisses um off, they want to unload on the unsuspecting target. I'd hate to see anyone die over a fit of anger, but when the idiot tried to kick the window out, IMO, he crossed the anger line and clearly into rage and deserved what he got.

    Good shoot IMO.

Having lived down there, i have a feeling the economy, crazy city council members, and crooked mayor with his "wicked nude parties", hookers, and hidden murders would be more of a reason to move out of the D. Crazed drivers w/ road rage issues are just as likely to be found in the high-end suburbs as they are in a large city with a bad rap. THAT is why I carry every day.
