Not the brightest bulb in the pack. First mistake was being unarmed and going outside of the safety of his home, badge or no badge. Good lesson learned though, could have been multitudes worse. This is just 4 blocks away from where I live.

Reports from the Huntington Police Department provided the following information:

A resident in the 1000 block of Monroe Avenue reported being attacked by several unknown suspects after he stepped outside his residence on Monday.

The victim said a tall, heavy-set white man knocked on his door and flashed a star-like badge at him. Once he was outside, the victim said two more people walked up to him and struck him with closed fists to the body.

The suspects fled when the victim ran back inside. Nothing was reported stolen.
